UM Share is intended to support independent study, revision and discussion. Course search, wanted requests, shared PDFs and exchange orders must be used consistently with the rules of your institution, course and assessment. Check the permitted resources and collaboration rules for each task; availability on this platform is not evidence that use is authorised.

Do not copy answers into assessed work, submit another person's work as your own, impersonate a student, arrange contract cheating, distribute restricted assessments or request live examination answers. UM Share uses email and session information for account access and security. Uploaded PDFs and associated course information support document processing and discovery. Course searches, wanted listings and exchange orders involve the information you submit and the activity needed to provide those features. Avoid including unnecessary personal or confidential data in PDFs and listings; material shared with other users may be copied by them.

PDF processing can involve OCR. Where you opt in to a model-assisted feature, relevant document content or extracted text may be sent to the configured model provider for that feature. Review the feature's consent information before choosing it. ClamAV scanning checks uploaded files for malware; scanning does not guarantee a file is safe. Access/session and operational records support security and troubleshooting.

The current infrastructure uses ECS storage in Hong Kong. Before publication, the operator must confirm: confirm the controller's legal identity and contact, actual storage and backup arrangements, external OCR/model and other service providers, their processing locations and terms, and any required transfer arrangements. No data processing agreement or universal compliance assurance is asserted here.

UM Share provides email/session-based access to PDF sharing and study features, course search, wanted listings and exchange orders.
